A Complete Kitchen Refresh in South Charlotte

The Doerstling family wanted a kitchen that felt new — but they loved their layout and their cabinet boxes were in excellent condition. Cabinet painting combined with new countertops, a new backsplash, and custom carpentry gave them exactly what they were looking for.

What We Did

We professionally painted every cabinet door, drawer front, and cabinet box face using our multi-coat spray process — delivering a smooth, factory-quality finish that brush painting simply can’t match.

The perimeter cabinets were sprayed in Sherwin-Williams Pure White — a clean, bright white that opens up the space. The island went a completely different direction: Sherwin-Williams Cyberspace, a deep navy/charcoal that creates a bold two-tone contrast and anchors the kitchen visually.

Custom Carpentry

The peninsula was leveled from two tiers down to one — a cleaner, more functional surface that also improves sightlines into the living area. Faux door panels were added to the upper cabinet boxes, giving the cabinetry a more finished, custom-built appearance from every angle.

New Quartz Countertops

The existing countertops were removed and replaced with new quartz — chosen to complement the Pure White cabinets and bring a clean, modern surface to the kitchen’s work zones.

White Subway Tile Backsplash

A classic white subway tile backsplash was installed to tie the updated cabinets and countertops together — timeless, bright, and easy to keep clean.

The Result

The Doerstling family’s kitchen went from dated to completely refreshed — same great layout and solid bones, entirely new look and feel. The Pure White and Cyberspace combination is a striking two-tone pairing, and the leveled peninsula and faux door panels show what thoughtful custom carpentry adds to a painting project.
